Mass Grave Discovered at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis

Palestinian civil defense teams recovered hundreds of bodies from a mass grave discovered within the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis this weekend. Rescue workers reported finding at least 200 corpses as of Sunday, with officials estimating that hundreds more remain buried at the site following the Israeli military withdrawal.

Mass Grave Discovered at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis

The discovery at the Nasser Medical Complex follows the Israeli Defense Forces' (IDF) departure from Khan Younis on April 7. During their occupation, the military had stormed the facility in February, arresting medical staff and shelling the infrastructure. Reports from the scene describe harrowing conditions, with emergency services noting that some recovered bodies were found with their hands bound behind their backs. Among the dead are children, young men, and older women.

This incident mirrors findings at the al-Shifa hospital earlier this month, where multiple mass graves were also identified after an IDF withdrawal. The Gaza Health Ministry confirmed that the regional death toll has now surpassed 34,000, though this figure is widely considered an undercount due to the number of people still trapped under debris. The discovery coincides with a U.S. House of Representatives vote to approve $26 billion in additional aid to Israel, a move that has drawn sharp criticism from human rights advocates who view the continued military support as complicity in war crimes.
