Survivors Describe Double-Tap Strike on Iranian School

The Shajareh Tayyebeh girls’ school became the epicenter of the tragedy on Saturday. According to an Iranian Red Crescent Society paramedic, the principal had moved students to a prayer hall for protection after the initial blast and summoned parents to pick them up. The subsequent strike decimated the area, leaving many children identifiable only by small personal effects like gold bracelets or school bags.

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Secretary of State Marco Rubio have stated that officials are investigating the incident, while maintaining that the United States does not target civilians. However, the use of the double-tap method—designed to inflict maximum casualties on first responders and survivors—has drawn sharp condemnation from independent observers.
